The S 800 D THX Ultra 2 dipole speakers astound through their high capacity and small dimensions, which make them perfectly suitable for integration into any living space. We're not aware of any smaller dipole with THX Ultra 2 certification.

The 130 mm bass driver of these three-way speakers is situated on the wall-facing side of the speaker enclosures. It renders a sound foundation which makes it possible to identify even low-frequency effect signals in the background. The speakers' mid- and high-range drivers project forward and backwards, and their 25 mm domes are reverse-polarised to deliver diffuse, ambient sound. Sound projected directly at the listener is minimised in favour of ambient sound which is reflected off of walls and creates an effect of open spatiality. This omni-directional projection contributes to captivating and believable sound quality which could never be rivalled by conventional speakers. 

To avoid diffraction, both sides are covered by enclosures conceived of as cowls without any screws, bushings or grommets in them. An integrated wall-mount enables the dipoles to be attached to a wall, which is necessary for their stunning effect to fully unfold. They can also be mounted against a rear wall at an angle using the optional AC 6500 SM/L wall-mount and lock.
